Delete Your Account

We're sorry to see you go. This page will help you delete your RemoteX account and all associated data.

⚠️ Important: This Action Cannot Be Undone

Deleting your account will permanently remove:

  • Your user profile and account credentials
  • Synced device preferences stored in the cloud
  • Your subscription history (active subscriptions must be cancelled separately)
  • Any data associated with your account

Method 1: Delete from the App (Recommended)

  1. Open the RemoteX app on your device
  2. Go to Settings tab (gear icon)
  3. Scroll down to Account section
  4. Tap on Delete Account
  5. Confirm your choice when prompted

Method 2: Request via Email

If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion by email:

  1. Send an email to delete@remotex.app
  2. Use the email address associated with your RemoteX account
  3. Subject: "Account Deletion Request"
  4. We will verify your identity and process your request within 30 days

Before You Delete: Cancel Active Subscriptions

If you have an active RemoteX Pro subscription, please cancel it first to avoid future charges:

iOS (Apple App Store)

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone/iPad
  2. Tap your Apple ID at the top
  3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. Find RemoteX and tap it
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription

Android (Google Play Store)

  1. Open Google Play Store
  2. Tap your Profile icon → Payments & subscriptions
  3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. Find RemoteX and tap it
  5. Tap Cancel subscription

What Happens to Local Data?

Data stored locally on your device (like saved TVs and preferences) is not automatically deleted when you delete your account. To remove local data:

  • iOS: Delete and reinstall the app, or go to Settings → General → iPhone Storage → RemoteX → Delete App
  • Android: Go to Settings → Apps → RemoteX → Storage → Clear Data, or uninstall the app
